Get involved

When you join Modo, you join a community of like-minded people who want to change the way they get around and the way the world looks at transportation. (“Modo” is short for “multi-modal modern lifestyle.”)

Modo is about reducing our dependence on individual car ownership, reducing the number of vehicles on the road, and making our transportation system more sustainable.

As a Modo shareholding member, you get a vote in co-op affairs and the right to serve as a board member. All members are eligible to join our Member Advisory Council or become an ambassador.

Modo Ambassadors

Help spread the word! Modo Ambassadors are local influencers and proud advocates for carsharing with Modo. As an ambassador, you’ll help raise awareness by sharing stories about how round-trip carsharing fits your lifestyle.

Our ambassador program is currently closed but you can always reach out at ambassadors@modo.coop and we'll add you to our contact list for future opportunities

Advisory council

Help shape the future of your co-op. The Modo Advisory Council is a group of members who are selected to represent the interests and perspectives of the membership.

Using an innovative lottery system, the Advisory Council provides direct perspectives and advice to Modo leadership to the issues impacting the co-op today.

If you’d like to participate in the Advisory Council, you can let us know at advisory.council@modo.coop. Intake currently happens three times a year.

Board elections

Each year, Modo holds elections for vacant positions on our Board of Directors, with the results announced at our annual general meeting. Modo Plus shareholding members can stand as candidates for election, and vote for the candidates they believe will best represent members.

Serving on Modo’s Board of Directors supports your co-op and represents members’ needs. It’s also a rewarding way to contribute your expertise while ensuring Modo’s social purpose is met.
