When will the fuel surcharge be applied?

The surcharge is applied whenever average prices at the pump, based on information from Natural Resources Canada, are above the trigger rate. The trigger rate is currently $2.10. Electric vehicles, including battery-electric (e.g. Hyundai Kona EV and Chevy Bolt) and plug-in hybrid electric (e.g. Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV), will be exempt from the surcharge.
