Finance Administrator
We have an opportunity for a Finance Administrator role to join our Finance Team.
As a Finance Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations and overall fiscal health of our organization. You will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing payments to ensure smooth financial operations. You will work closely with various internal departments and engage with external stakeholders, including our valued members, to support collaborative financial processes.
This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented, well-organized professional with a solid understanding of financial principles and accounting practices. You will have the autonomy to manage your responsibilities while being an integral part of a supportive and collaborative team.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of one day per week in our Vancouver Downtown office.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $56,000 per annum.
What you will do
Accounts Payable:
- Receive, review, obtain approvals for, and enter transactions for all vendor invoices.
- Perform reconciliations of vendor accounts and identify, address, and report discrepancies and issues as they arise.
- Ensure vendors are paid on time through various payment methods including EFT, wire transfer, cheque, and credit card.
- Refund credits to Members.
- Reconcile expenses paid by company credit cards.
Accounts Receivable:
- Verify and enter various payments.
- Review, investigate and resolve Member payment inquiries.
- Issue ad hoc invoices to non-Members.
- Assist with payment collection for non-Member accounts receivable.
Administrative tasks:
- Collect and scan physical mail and distribute it to appropriate person/team.
- Deposit cheques/cash at Modo’s financial institution.
- Create and maintain appropriate files for hard and soft copy finance documents.
Reporting:
- Create, organize, and maintain spreadsheets of daily transactions.
- Assist with preparing information for month end reporting.
- Assist the Accountant with reconciliations and reports.
Assist with external audits:
- Ensure financial data are accurate and available for audit purposes.
- Provide assistance to auditors and internal stakeholders when information is required.
What we are looking for
- A minimum of two years of experience in an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent collaborative skills, with a positive, team-oriented attitude—someone who thrives as a supportive team player.
Bonus points if you have
- Experience working with Sage 50 accounting software.
- A good sense of humour.
- Payroll experience.
- Strong interest in co-op environment, carsharing, or social purpose organizations.
