Call for Volunteers!
The Hastings-Sunrise Better at Home Program helps seniors stay living independently in their own home. By using Modo vehicles, the coordinating social services agency S.U.C.C.E.S.S. provides free transportation for seniors in the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood including safe rides to appointments, as well as friendly visits.
Are you interested in supporting the program?
Better at Home is looking for volunteer drivers who:
– Can provide 4 to 6 rides a month
– Are reliable, punctual and committed
– Possibly speak a second language
The program runs Monday to Saturday during business hours!

Happy 20th Birthday to Vancouver Farmers Markets!
Stop by the Main Street Station Market this Wednesday and celebrate with an official “Vancouver Farmers Markets Day” proclamation from City of Vancouver – Local Government. The festivities start at 3:30pm with coffee and donuts from Cartems Donuterie and Salt Spring Coffee.
