When you join Modo’s Fleet Care Team, you help fulfill Modo’s promise of an exceptional carsharing experience by keeping theModo fleet clean, inspected for safety, and by performing minor maintenance tasks.

As part of our fun Fleet Care Team, you will help care for over a hundred cars across the lower mainland. You’ll get to experience driving all sorts of makes and models when you jockey our cars around town.Reporting to Modo’s Regional Fleet Manager, you will join a team of skilled, attentive, and innovative crew members who want to make a difference in their communities.

Here’s what a typical day in Fleet Care looks like:

  • Clean vehicles: We pride ourselves in offering a safe and enjoyable member experience, so our team cleans to stringent standards. There’s ongoing communication between the Fleet Care and Member Care teams to make sure that the cars and members are attended to.
  • Inspect vehicles: We follow guidelines to meet safety requirements for vehicles and are empowered to act on safety issues. We also look for any damage or cosmetic issues that could tarnish the Modo brand and resolve those issues.
  • Provide minor repairs on vehicles: Minor repairs, such as battery replacements or boosts and tire changes and repairs, are part of the job. This is where our DIY skills come in real handy!
  • Operational support: jockey vehicles, help with parking signage, permits or insurance decals, and replace fuel cards in vehicles.

Our ideal candidate would have most of the following qualifications and skills:

  • A valid Class 5or 7N driver’s license and clean driving record – you’ll be driving Modo cars, after all!

  • Proficiency using web applications and programs such as Google Maps, expense reporting, and general office administrative programs like Google Suite or Microsoft Office

Modo operates on the unceded and shared territories of many First Nations. Unceded because most Indigenous Peoples in this province never entered into Treaty with the Canadian government and shared because Indigenous lands are not divided by borders. Our main office is located on the unceded and shared ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

We and our members live and work on these lands, and our cars move across them. We appreciate and respect the long-standing tradition of Indigenous Peoples in caring for the land. We recognize the harm caused to the environment – land, air, and water – through the use of vehicles and commit to reducing that harm as a core part of our Purpose.
