Pro tip: How to avoid common fines

Have you noticed a fine on your recent invoice?

During the winter, the number of low fuel and battery drain fines can surprise our members.

The fuel tank should be at least 1/4 full for the next driver when you fob out. Our fuel cards are normally in the key pouch next to the steering wheel (though sometimes they can fall to the floor). When you’re fuelling up, always select a dollar amount and never “fill up”. If the card doesn’t work, we cover fuel costs, so don’t be shy – help out your fellow members and keep our fleet road-ready. Read Mona’s tips on fuelling up for more info.

To avoid battery drains, always ensure that your headlights and dome lights are turned off before leaving the vehicle. While driving conventional non-hybrid or non-electric vehicles, be aware that frequently turning off/starting up the vehicle can result in a heavy drain on their battery, and cold weather reduces its ability to recharge quickly.

Our Member Care staff is available 24/7 to assist you, so don’t hesitate to give them a call!
