Happy 40th birthday, Co-op Radio!
It’s been 40 years since Vancouver Co-op Radio hit the airwaves on April 15, 1975. During the 2015 Spring Member Drive, Modo CEO Nathalie Baudoin and Board Chair William Azaroff were guests on the “Each For All” program to discuss Modo’s own co-operative history, as well as what the future has in store for carsharing in our region.
Support Co-op Radio’s move back to the heart of the city!
In late 2013, renovations at Co-op Radio’s original home on Columbia Street forced them to find accommodations elsewhere. The move to Wall Street in the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood cost the station just under $100,000 (on top of their annual operating costs). But during that time, they continued to broadcast without a break in transmission!
Moving back to Columbia Street will again incur similar costs. As a listener-supported, member-owned, independent, non-commercial radio station, any and all support will be greatly appreciated.
The best way to pledge your support? Become a member of the co-op!
