Weekly, we repair 3 to 5 tire punctures caused by nails and screws picked up along the road.

Tire screw 1

A stowaway!

If you notice a soft tire, report it to the Member Loyalty Team (604.685.1393) as soon as possible. The sooner we get it fixed, the less it costs to repair. Every vehicle has the recommended tire pressures stated on the door frame of the driver’s door.

It’s important to never drive on tires that are flat. Occasionally, we can quickly repair a tire if it’s within the puncture repair area and we get to it as soon as possible.

Some tires (like the one pictured above) will get plugged when we remove the object. But for tires like the one below, we have to scrap them.

Tire wall damage

Damage to the tire wall makes it unsafe for driving.

Again, it’s important to call the Member Loyalty Team as soon as you notice any potential tire damage. If a Modo is damaged while in your care, you can pay up to $500 depending on the extent of the damage – and that includes tires. Avoid being charged a damage fee with our insurance options through CLDI or the Modo Damage Pool.
